Lonsdale Quay Tour with Beer Tasting

Vancouver, Canada

Experience hosted by Deacon

3 hours, Hosted in English

What you'll do

Beginning in the heart of Vancouver’s downtown core we will walk through the streets of the city, passing the shopping and entertainment districts. We will get on Vancouver’s light rail transit (LRT) system, called SkyTrain, and take a short ride to Waterfront Station, Vancouver’s largest public transportation hub. There we will board the SeaBus, the city’s catamaran passenger ferry that links Downtown Vancouver with the city of North Vancouver. The sailing will last approximately 12 minutes and will provide great views of Port Metri Vancouver, the North Shore Mountains, and much more as we make our way across Burnard Inlet. We will arrive at Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver. After a short guided tour you will have the opportunity to explore the Lonsdale Quay Market, home to over 80 different artisanal shops and services including fresh meat, seafood, and produce, gift and jewelry stores, and a wide variety of mouth watering prepared foods. Once you’ve had a chance to explore we will head to the Green Leaf Brewing where you’ll be given the opportunity to sample some of their finest beers while enjoying a delicious mayo platter from Cilantro and Jalapeño (beer tasting and snacks included). If you like what you taste feel free to purchase your very own beer “Growler” to take with you. We will then catch the SeaBus back to Vancouver and finish off the day at Waterfront Station.
Other things to note
Please contact me in advance if you have any dietary concerns I should be aware of.

You will have 30 to 45 minutes to explore Lonsdale Quay Market on your own following the guided tour. I will be available to answer any questions and to provide additional assistance. Beer tasting will follow.

I was born and raised here in Vancouver and I worked in tourism, on and off, for the past 12 years. I have a passion for showing my city and province two guests from all around the world. I have hosted numerous tours as well as worked and experienced many of Vancouver is attractions, restaurants, and hotels. As a person with a vision impairment I also have a unique and extensive knowledge of our public transportation system here. Combining this experience and knowledge will give my guests a unique view of the city and will help them learn how to get around on their own, hopefully saving them money on more expensive transportation, such as taxis and limousines.

A fantastic tour! Deacon is knowledgeable and informative on all things Vancouver. If you want more detail than a standard sight seeing tour while still seeing the sights I definitely recommend Deacon. Your inner nerd will be happy along with plenty of pictures!
