What you'll do

Let me introduce you to the Famous Islands of Wroclaw – the Cathedral Island and the Sand Island. This area is by far one of the most interesting areas of Wroclaw and in fact the oldest part of the city where the history of Wroclaw started over 1100 years ago. You will see and learn more about the pearls of Gothic and Baroque architecture: the Cathedral of John the Baptist, Church of the Holy Cross and other ancient churches of Wroclaw.

While walking around the island, my guests have the chance to discover that the Leaning Tower exists not only in Pisa but also in Wroclaw! I will reveal to you fascinating stories and legends of the islands, including scandals and crimes from the past.

- 2 h walking tour with a licensed, passionate, local guide
- Visit the Cathedral Island – a very special and authentic place illuminated with the gas lanterns.
- Visit the Sand Island with the monumental Church of Our Lady on the Sand.
- Listen to insightful information about Wroclaw history and legends of the islands; including the adventures of Casanova’s visit to Wroclaw, legend of the Dumpling Gate and many others.
- For those who would like to see more – there is also the possibility to visit the inside of the Cathedral.

This is terrific, more like a walk with a friend than a guided tour. I happened to be the only one in the tour so it could be one of the reasons, but mostly i think i felt incredibly welcomed thanks to Anna. She’s friendly, genuine, very knowledgeable and what a sophisticated lady. She’s passionate about her city and a great story teller. Without her, i could’ve missed a lot of tiny lil details in every corner of the islands. I got to learn a lot about the historical events that the city of Wroclaw has been through, and it’s always nice to hear the perspectives shared by a local. It was a nice sunny weekend and really an enjoyable experience. Plus, the food recommendations were all great, esp. the secret cafe- impressive interior that u can’t tell at all from the outside! Thanks Anna!
