What you'll do
Your tour begins at the famous Boston Harbor - starting with a walk through a scenic waterfront park, with views of the harbor, East Boston, and nearby historic wharfs as we make our way to the heart of the North End.
We'll visit a hidden Italian bakery serving up fresh bread daily. Break bread with your fellow travelers and let the carbs give you the energy to continue your adventure! A proper Italian salumeria is next, and you have a chance to enjoy Italian meats and cheeses at their finest and freshest.
Then, we'll head to the North End’s busiest corridor, Hanover Street. It’s time for a mid-tour break at a traditional Italian café. Here, you have a chance to purchase your choice of a classic cappuccino, espresso, or tea, or just rest your feet.
Let the caffeine kick in as we go back in time into North End history. Hear stories about some of the most influential events that have happened in Boston. We will make our way to the Old North Church and step inside the hallowed walls. To this day, North Enders still attend this church, which is famous for its role in the Revolution.
After church, we dive deeper into the local side of the North End. A taste of pizza awaits at a neighborhood favorite and the stories are endless. We cap off your North End food experience with samples of the best of the best Italian pastries along the backstreets of this delicious neighborhood!
Other things to note
This tour features visits to locations that are not always able to cater for vegetarians and other dietary requirements. Discounts are available and I can assist you with recommendations on where to purchase alternative diet-friendly food during the tour. Please contact me ahead of time, if needed.

I have a deep love and appreciation for the history, diversity, and unique culture of Boston. Sharing this love for the one-and-only Beantown with visitors (first-timers and frequent visitors alike) is a passion of mine. Boston's big draw is obviously American history, but there's so much more in this city to explore! I've spent time getting to know restauranteurs, artisans, and other foodies, so that I can show you the coolest spots to get a bite in the North End neighborhood. Of course there's the postcard historical sights, but there's also some awesome snacks, only-in-Boston dishes, and amazing hand-crafted treats - the type of places that locals (like me) love. One things for sure, on my tours, you'll receive personal attention from a real, Boston local and a unique experience that you'll never forget! Join me!

Our Boston experience was an absolute success thanks to Bob and his wonderful recommendations. We were brought to the North End to explore the locals variety of what Boston had to offer, while learning Boston’s history at many different stops along the way. Definitely enjoyed Bob and his friendly demeanor, running into other tour guides on our route, having some good laughs, his charisma was a warm welcome on an otherwise cloudy, groggy day.

We booked this tour last minute with the hopes of having a local food experience and it was much better than we expected. It was a rainy day, so we ended up having a private tour with Bridget. She was very accommodating and wanted to make sure that dietary restrictions were not a problem for us. She took us to locally owned restaurants and small shops that have been owned for generations. We made four food stops and everything was delicious. Bridget also made some stops along the way to show us historic sites and and landmarks. I would definitely book another tour with her. :)
