The Rila Monastery was founded in the 10th century. Having survived many wars and natural disasters, it has been repeatedly revived. But some of its amazing original buildings from the Middle Ages are preserved. The excursion from Bansko to the Rila Monastery in one direction takes an hour and a half. Upon arrival, tourists receive an audio device with a map of the monastery. The relics of St. Ivan Rilski, The Miraculous Icon, Museums, Ticket Office, Gift Shop, Toilets and more. The monastery complex is inspected independently using the native language on the audio device. Along with leisure, it takes 2.5 to 3 hours. In the little known old bakery of the monastery where we will take you, you will be able to taste the local dessert - Mekitsite. Then we go back to Bansko.

My name is Larisa, I was born and lived in Russia. But in 2015, fate brought me to Bulgaria. I fell in love with this beautiful country - in its color, traditions and nature. That's when I decided to stay here to live. I began to write useful articles about Bulgaria and acquaint tourists with interesting places. Gradually, I created several routes and opened a travel company Audio Guide Bulgaria. I put my ideas into author's guided tours with an audio guide.
