Jide And Michele

I was raised in a British-Caribbean home, and have been cooking since I was a teenager, I am now in my 40s and I consider myself an expert cook. I am a self-confessed foodie. I love the fact that Caribbean food is the original fusion food—a blend of many cultures—which is reflected in my own heritage. Caribbean food is an eclectic mix that can be modified to suit any palate, and it must be shared with others.

Where you'll be

We will be at my home kitchen in the town of Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, about a 15-mile train ride north of London. We will engage in conversation about the history of the food, with Caribbean music playing in the background as we devour, what we have prepared in the Master Class. Enough food will be prepared for you to take home, the rest of your dishes and have a family evening meal. Also recipe worksheets will be given to each guest.
