What you'll do

If you join me you will get not only knowledge on how to kayak, beginners are encouraged!, but also learn how different waterways work, how to plan a trip accordingly, and how to identify what is around you. We talk about many topics throughout our tour and tailor the experience to what you can relate to. Often discussing the development of South Florida is a very interesting topic, Port Everglades, Prohibition, Miami vs Fort Lauderdale, and then we have a whole eco side of the tour where we discuss the mangroves, seagrapes, johnson seagrass, herons, crabs, and fish in the area. Don't worry we have no gators on site!

All of my day trips are exclusive and catered for you. We start with fitting the equipment to you and reviewing safety for the tour. We will head South throughout the Venetian Isles where you can view Mega Yachts and Mansions before we get to Annie Beck Park. Here we have a mangrove sanctuary where we can view herons nesting, barracudas hunting, and crabs scurrying around the trees. From there we travel South further to Las Olas and the New River where you can see down town and some of the most expensive homes in the City of Fort Lauderdale. As we make our way back to our starting point we pick out our future homes and yachts and see who can come up with the most creative name! Come be apart of my family on the water here in Fort Lauderdale.
Other things to note
Do not bring any items you do not want to bring on to the kayak or that can not get wet. there is no storage or lockers at this facility.

I have a true love for being on the water and have a passion for share this experience with everyone. I studied Sport Management for my Master's Degree at the University of Miami in Miami, FL which I use to run my business and expand to future locations in South Florida.

Where you'll be

We will be on 3 different waterways throughout this tour.
1. Middle River
2. Intracoastal Waterway
3. New River

On our route we navigate bridges that are impassable to all the other boat tours in the area and explore the North side of Las Olas, often called the Isles of Venice.
We may seem to be on larger bodies of water but not to worry we are very protected on our route through the canals and hardly encounter any boat traffic.

My friend & I went and had Jake as our tour guide and he was absolutely wonderful! Very informative about the general history of Fort Lauderdale as well as the homes & yachts we toured around. He was a great fun the entire time & took some awesome photos of us throughout our trek - highly recommend!

My wife and I had a great time on the tour! We booked a group tour but as it happened we were the only two on it. Howie, the guide, led us on a beautiful and interesting trip around the canals, while telling us some great stories, historical details, and fun facts. The logistics were very easy too. Definitely recommend.

We had a really fun time on this tour! My husband and I were the only ones on the tour, so we had a private one with Howie. Howie was a fantastic guide--incredibly entertaining and a wealth of knowledge. As history nerds, we especially appreciated how in depth he went and that he tailored the information to our particular interests. The tour was also beautiful and a great way to spend a morning in Ft. Lauderdale.

My wife and I ended up get a personal tour with Howie as no one else was booked in our time slot. Howie was amazing, even towed me back in because my fingers were struggling in the last stretch. Loved learning the history of the canal and the mega yachts and mansions in the isles. Will love to do this again during manatee season.
