What you'll do

Please be welcome to the National Museum of Anthropology by Tlaloc -The god of the Rain-, the only sculpture outside the museum which invites you to step inside. Know about how it was carried from the small town Coatlinchan, the place where it was discovered, to the museum's facilities. “Once upon a time there was a territory named Mesoamerica by historians” is a nice beginning for learning the geographical and time contexts, and cosmology of this Mexican Pre-Columbian cultural area. Admiring a beautiful mural painted by a Luis Covarrubias: a renown Mexican mural painter, will make the time line easier for the guest to understand Mesoamerica's cultural concept. Enjoying the friendly facilities of the museum, we will continue our visit to the Teotihuacan, Mexica and Maya galleries, three of our most representative civilizations located in Mexico. We will have the opportunity to discover the differences between these cultures, and also admire the technological and art developments reached by them. Once we finish our experience my guests will feel the desire to come back for a deeper approach but with the confidence of a better understanding of the Mexican archaeological sites. This experience will contrast with the common guided experiences found onsite or even through the reading of the museum's info cards or signs. My experience will provide them with a unique angle to it.

Evita & Friends

I'm a Mexico City citizen, I was born in the very center of the city and I've been studying the History and Culture of Mexico's Pre-Columbian civilizations for more than 20 years. I have been part of the original communities that preserve some of the traditions of the Mexica culture for about the same time, specially the rituals of Dance and Music. I have been given insight of Mexico's ancient cosmovision in verbal tradition through the brotherhood of dancers. As a local expert I have hosted many tour experiences focused and in detail on the Pre-Columbian background of my Country. I have been renamed in Mexica/Aztec language two times as a full acceptance in the community.
