What we’ll do

The experience begins with your running guide greeting you at the meeting location and setting the expectations of the tour through their introduction. Then the journey begins as you learn our story of New York City through a local runner from the history of area to personal anecdotes and recommendations of the neighborhood. We will run from point to point stopping along the way sharing those…

What else you should know

The tour will be a casually paced run through the Lower section of Central Park. There are a few planned stops along the route where your guide will point out items of interest as well as good photo opportunities. Majority of the route will be led on paved areas.

What I’ll provide

Water
Each participant will receive a bottle of water for the running tour.

What to bring

Running gear suitable for the weather. Your guide will be wearing a back pack to carry small items or light clothing if necessary.

Where you'll be

"Nature first, second, and third, architecture after a while," was the motto of the Central Park architects. It's hard to imagine that everything you see while running through Central Park was put there by design, but that's exactly what you'll experience on The Lower Central Park running tour. Highlights include Strawberry Fields, Bethesda Terrace, Delacorte Theater, the Great Lawn, the Reservoir and more.
