What you'll do
We will first learn a bit about photography and camera's and more specificially long-exposure photography.
(Be aware, I'm a lightpainter! That means I know my way around a camera but I'm not professional photographer.)
Then it's time to fire up our programmable ledstrips and learn about the do's and don'ts of lightpainting by trial and error. And I'm sure that, after just 10 minutes of trying, we'll be making magic happen!
The whole experience takes about 1h-1h30'.
Other things to note
Wear shoes, not flipflops or sandals. The place itself can be a bit dirty and wet to 'run around' in. (but don't let this scare you, I'm always overthinking things in the safest possible way :-)

I'm a lightpainter with a love for streetart and urban exploring.
I've got over 3 years of experience making my own lightpaintinggear, using that to shoot badass long-exposure pictures, painting with light on badass places and teaching people the do's and don'ts of just that!
(And since images say more than words, you might get a better idea of what it is I'm doing by checking Graffitilights on Instagram.)

Where you'll be
As a background we'll be using the most interesting of the 3 legal graffitizones in Ghent, the "grindbakken". It's near "Dok Noord", a shopping mall which is a little bit out of city centre but still perfectly within walking distance. (it's only a 20-minute walk from city hall)
The place is very calm at night and it's full of high-quality streetart, ideal to take streetart-pictures where we add some lightpainting.

Cool evening out discovering a part of Gent and an art form we didn't know before! The location and the stories behind the street art was an added bonus! Bert was very knowledgeable and personable - was really fun. It even entertained 4 teenagers along with us, so you know it had to be good! ;-) Highly recommend.

Bert really is a warm and thoughtful guide, asking questions before to cater the experience for my two young kids. We had fun, we learnt just a little of the enormous knowledge he has, and the interactive nature of it all kept even my small kids (5 and 7) entranced! Strongly recommend!

DOEN! Super aanrader.
