What you'll do

There is wonderful countryside on the doorstep and interesting places to see. The guided walk I offer is 16kms, 10miles, mostly off road on tracks and through fields. Starting in the heart of Gorebridge we will walk over Camp Hill to Vogrie Country Park. From Vogrie we hike to Crichton Castle, a well preserved 13th century building looked after by Historic Scotland. Passing by the castle we continue over hills, through fields and woods to Borthwick, where the Castle is now a private hotel. From Borthwick we walk back to Gorebridge along quiet country roads.
Other things to note
The walk is 16 kilometres long and over rough terrain, with some steep steps and slopes to negotiate as well as stiles and fences to climb over, so a moderate level of fitness and agility is required to complete and enjoy the experience.
