What you'll do

We will meet at Changi Point Ferry Terminal where we can grab a quick drink or bite at the nearby Changi Village Hawker Centre before getting in line for the bumboats to Ubin island. We will get off after a 10/15min ride at the main jetty where we can explore the island. We can then head straight to renting bicycles and cycling to the quarry. Along the way, we can stop at various points of interest and if there is time we can even explore other parts of the island. At the quarry, we can lay out our mats and chill, swim in the freshwater, or have a picnic. We will then catch the next available bumboat back to the mainland.
Other things to note
1. Be prepared for mosquitoes!
2. While the island sells water and food, it is advisable to bring your own or buy before crossing as island prices are steep.
3. Enjoy the outdoors & the clear quarry waters!

I love water sports (swim daily) as well as nature. Despite being an urban city-scape, Singapore has little known secondary wilderness that hides beautiful gems. One such gem is a quarry on the island of Ubin. Cycling or trekking through the secondary forest to the secluded water filled quarry is a much better past-time than being in a concrete jungle. The specific quarry is also secluded enough for skinny dipping in the water.

Ubin island used to be have many quarries (which have filled up with water over time) and plantations. It currently houses a small village, Outward Bound School and various recreational and nature attractions.

We had a great time with this experience! Adrian was very friendly and patient throughout. The venue was a place we definitely would not have found ourselves + we did a nice side detour to the german girl shrine which was interesting. Would highly recommend :)

A special site I won't have known without Adrian. Water is clear and calm, never quite a place in Singapore you would know. Really need some swimming experience to enjoy this. Adrian guides closely, sometimes one to one when needed. He assured we were on track on the bike by stopping at different checkpoints. A good getaway from the city.
