What you'll do
Odessa is "a pearl near the sea". Why do we call her so? Why Odessa is the only city name which is feminine? Who founded and what for? Why this is the most international city in Ukraine? To ask these and more questions you should dive into exciting biography of Odessa. We will visit some famous places on our way as well as we will knock to the places hidden in the heart of Odessa. We will discover Greek, Jewish and Turkish influence on architecture and culture. You will meet people who left the marks in history of this city. And as we have a lesson, there is a break. To do it, I will show a small door to a small pub with exclusive Odessa style cuisine. There you can try the taste of this port city, the taste, which is unchangeable since its birth. I will also tell places which you shouldn't miss while visiting Odessa. Your task is to enjoy, share knowledge and as a curious pupil to ask as many questions as possible.
My name is Polina, native Ukrainian and "odessitka" (born and raised in Odessa). As I am teacher, my passion is teaching and as I am traveller my passion is discover. 5 years ago I thought why not to combine two passions of mine together? Since then for my friends from another countries and city guests I became a teacher of Odessa lesson - an unique guidance around Odessa that feels like a combination of touristic and historic information.
