About your host

I've lived in southern Thailand since 2011, speak the language politely, and have an insider view of the culture after living with several Thai families in rural village lifestyle as an English language tutor with the US Peace Corps. I am co-founder of Teknomadics, a company curating transformational experiences for travelers to be immersed in natural beauty while discovering a deeper connection…

What we’ll do

The day begins with a superfood smoothie bowl to pack our bodies with enough mojo for the morning trek through the jungle. We'll approach the forest reverently and take our time on the walk. We'll spend some of our time in silence, observing the flora and fauna and listening to the songs of the jungle. Half way through our 2.5 hour walk, we'll rest at a spectacular viewpoint and share a light,…

What else you should know

This is a full day experience. We will meet at 7:30 am and we will finish by 7pm. The hike is fine for beginners. It's a mild but long hike, and a relatively healthy person should have no problems.

What I’ll provide

Snacks
Healthy trail snacks like nuts and fruit are available.
Tea
A ceremonial dose of cacao is lovingly prepared for you and served in prayer on the trail.
Sports equipment
Mask & Snorkel provided

What to bring

Reusable Water Bottle
Journal & Pen
Swimsuit
Sunscreen
Natural Mosquito Repellent
Sarong or towel
Money for breakfast, lunch, and boat ride (about 1000 thb)

Where you'll be

We'll stop at a sacred nature spot on the east side of the island before approaching the winding trail to a set of bays accessible only by boat or foot trail. At the half way point there is a spectacular viewpoint where the coastline, the jungle and nearby islands are all visible. After a bit of stretching, we'll enjoy a hearty meal at one of my favorite restaurants and swim in the deep waters where fish can be spotted with the mask provided.
