What you'll do
Let's meet at Shimokitazawa station and start our flower shop tour to learn the differences between the flowers used in western style flower arrangement and Ikebana , after our walk lets go to my studio were i’ll tell you about the history of Ikebana and the basic rules you should follow to achieve beauty and balance in your Ikebana, after my demonstration you are going to work on your very own Ikebana. If you like you can bring your flowers home.
I love plants very much, I started my Ikebana studies when i moved to Japan in 2014. For me, Ikebana is how I express my feelings, understand others, relax, learn about Japanese culture, and bring happiness to my daily life. It is one of many arts in Japanese culture and for many people including my self is a way of life. My dream was to learn it since I was a little girl back in Brazil, when I came to Japan, I started to follow my dream and i became a Sogetsu Ikebana School teacher—now my goal is to bring this joy to other people’s lives.
