What you'll do

Explore the Brighton Coastline, and ride through a beautiful nature reserve and the Sussex countryside.

We start our journey in Seven Dials, picking up the bikes and making sure we are all prepared and ready to go for the journey. After a quick test ride, we cruise down to the seafront through a beautiful park in Hove and quiet streets, avoiding traffic and gaining confidence. Then, we head east towards the Brighton Marina and the cliffs. On the way, we pass by some of Brighton’s most iconic sites such as the remnants of the West Pier, the Palace Pier, the i360, The Grand Hotel, the gay district of Kemptown and even a nudist beach (we won’t stop and stare!).

Once we reach the top of the Marina, we go off road on bridleways onto the South Downs to treat ourselves to the spectacular views over the city, and learn about Brighton’s unique natural environment and cityscapes.

Then, we go through the stunning nature reserve of Castle Hill, and enjoy the sights of many animals and landscapes. Our tour then leads us to the town of Rottingdean, where we can admire many Tudor style houses (and even the secret birthplace of the popular board game, Cluedo). We can then take a break on the seafront, at a café overlooking Saltdean beach, before cruising back via the undercliffs along the sea.

This Tour does not require advanced riding skills, but one needs to be in good health.

Incredible experience! Olivier catered the ride to our group and what we wanted to experience. A great storyteller who told us everything about where we were. Would recommend this to anyone!

Oli took us on the tour and was so friendly, interesting, knowledgeable and went above and beyond. When we arrived Colin and Oli ensured that the bikes and helmets fit us perfectly and showed us carefully how to use the bikes. We were both a little nervous because we hadn't used bikes in years but our worries were soon over. Not only did Oli show us the beautiful coast of Brighton but he also gave us fascinating info about Brighton and the surrounding countryside. He was patient, kind and really supportive. We highly recommend this tour, it was such a special time: beautiful views, great countryside and lovely conversation! The bikes are easy and fun to use. As we were biking along the countryside, I felt like I did as a child - on a bike, carefree and joyful! A really exhilarating time. Thanks so much!

An amazing morning looking down over Brighton and out to sea from the South Downs. Electric bikes are a LOT of fun and this ride out over the downs and back along the coast is a great balance to spending time in the city. City, country and coast, all in a couple of hours, really blew the cobwebs away!

Had an absolutely fantastic time. Ollie was our guide and he was knowledgeable and extremely considerate. Steve and I are in our sixties but that didn’t stop us cycling up the cliffs, Ollie’s encouragement was paramount to our success. He was caring there was one bit that I felt nervous about as the wind was blowing but it was no trouble he came and got me and walked my bike down to be fair I was been a bit of a wimp as my husband had no trouble however Ollie was encouraging and caring. Ollie always gave us choices of what we wanted to do we could have sat and had coffee had a slower pace if we wanted to. Thank you so much for a great time. A must do in Brighton and very well worth the price.

We enjoyed a thoroughly enjoyable ride made easier by the electric bikes along Brighton seafront. Excellent experience and terrific value, with Daniel as an excellent guide. Will be doing it again next time we’re in the area.
