What you'll do

We will spend an hour walking about Wild Abundance, a real living homestead and permaculture site. We will look at the land, the plants, and the background of this site, as well as get into some basic history of Southern Appalachia. We will talk about agriculture and land-based living that is not just sustainable, but regenerative! I will also send you off with a handout containing a reading list and some basic permaculture principles, so that you can keep on diving in if you really get excited about what you see!

I am the administrator at Wild Abundance, where we teach Permaculture, Natural Building, Wildcrafting, and Rewilding. I have been working and learning here for two year, plus I have been self-educating in the world of plants, herbalism, wellness, sustainability, and foraging for five years.

On my tours, I excel in pointing out overarching patterns and rhythms that exist in the land in order to help elucidate what makes this place and permaculture as a practice so special.

While you can walk around the land and feel like its a beautiful place on your own, my tour will help you understand what it might feel like to truly be in relationship to this land. You will also be educated with tons of facts, tid bits, and other permacultural information! Expect to walk away with some newfound knowledge and perspective on Permaculture!
