Nick was a super person and guide, we learned so much about the local flora and history of the land. The hike was not a disappointment and even a bit harder than we thought (those stairs on the way up are rough for shorties!). Harder is GOOD though! It was a relatively intermediate hike, just know that uphill climb on the way back is no joke and take breaks. Nick was incredibly personable and I couldn’t imagine being led by anyone else. I was stung by a wasp on the hike and he found every possible homeopathic remedy along the way - super cool foraging for pain relief that we might not have received otherwise. The sting was easy to ignore with all the beauty about!

Nick was our guide during our hike at Muir Woods. He was on time. He made every effort to be accurate, informative and most of all an enjoyable hike. We have a better appreciation of our wilderness. We will definitely recommend a hike with Nick with our friends and family.

Wow! We have always wanted to explore the area and there is no way we could have gone where we did without Vanessa. She was an amazing guide and amazing person. We would definitely recommend this to anyone!

We arranged the hike for our twin 25-year-old daughters. They enjoyed seeing the variety of vegetation along the way, and with no trails marked, having a guide was a definite plus. Their guide was very nice and welcoming. However, the girls are experienced hikers who employ a robust pace while enjoying the peace and solitude of wilderness trails. As such, the guide had a much slower pace and talked quite a bit, including topics that had nothing to do with the surroundings. We recommend matching the guide with the pace and ambience desired by the guests.

Much more than just walking through the woods. Nicki was a great tour guide by showing us how to be mindful in nature. It was an experience to get away from technology and just enjoy nature as it is. The views were breathtaking and the hike was so fun.

Highly recommend this tour to both locals and visitors. The light snacks along the hike are incredibly special and very emblematic of the tour’s topics!
