My travels inspired me to pursue my dream of building immersive, powerful atmospheres that connect people and places. I'm now the founder of Escape The Routine, a production company that creates unique experiences intimately tied into the local culture. Come enjoy an evening of great music from fantastic local artists!

Where you'll be

Down a flight of black-painted stairs in an unremarkable building on the Lower East Side, Caveat is decorated with ribbed dark wood and wallpaper printed with esoteric, vaguely scientific symbols, it has an array of circular tables, gathered in clusters, as if at a cabaret.

Really cool experience! The music was great (I loved Ren with The Mane), and the venue was really chill as well. The kitchen was already closed as it was quite late, but they had some very interest snacks and a candy shot that I thought was really fun (it's literally just candy in a shot glass lol). Would be great if there were more food and drink options available, but everything they had was pretty good.

This event was a very fun way to spend a Saturday night! I was very pleased with the performers and would totally do one of these events again.

I really enjoyed the evening at Caveat. It’s a cool venue, dedicated to “cerebral entertainment”. The term “soul” does not necessarily reflect the type of music presented: the acts we saw that night were in the rock and pop category. But they were all quite good, and the musician/entertainer RaeMa in particular has a really captivating stage presence. The whole experience felt more intimate than a regular NYC club evening, and I would definitely recommend this outing, both for travelers and NYC locals, such as myself.

This was a really intimate show filled with an captivated, appreciative audience - not your typical Saturday nyc concert. Alex did a great job curating the musicians and this Is a super cool venue. Will definitely be back, thanks!

Nice concert in a small and cosy cafe in Brooklyn. Artists were original and creative. Atmosphere was a little heavy. Overall a cool experience

Quite the intimate gig. Alex put on a sentimental, cozy show and attracted a good mix of attendees - locals, travelers, and backpackers. Cafe Erzulie was the perfect venue for 20-30 strangers to connect and jam out to some Tuesday soul.
