What you'll do
We'll meet in my private workshop, where I will share a brief background on Porcelarts. You will then choose from an array of high-quality porcelain plates or mugs imported from Japan. Next, you will select artistic patterns from a variety of designs, and I will show you the proper technique to transfer and custom-design your porcelain. Each piece is unique. During the workshop, you will enjoy sweets and exquisite tea from around the world. When you finish crafting your porcelain, I will show you the kiln where your custom creation will be fired. The kiln firing will occur after your lesson. Your finished product will be available for pickup two to three days later at a downtown Los Angeles location, or I can arrange shipping for an extra price.
I lived in Japan and received my Porcelarts Instructor license there. I really enjoy seeing my students design. I love to share my passion for Porcelarts design and painting with people from all over the world and with locals, too. What I love the most is that I can create unique tableware and use it to decorate my home. I can also create handmade gifts for my loved ones on special occasions.
