What you'll do

Take a break from the hectic pace of life, back to "A Simpler Time" where you can unplug and de-stress enjoying the peaceful country setting and gentle ways of the alpaca. I will meet you in the driveway, along with our "greeter" dogs Max and Molly, and guide you down the country road to where you will meet the alpacas. Alpacas are very gentle animals and you will have the opportunity to go in with them to hand feed grain and take pictures with them. Meanwhile you will learn about the care of the alpacas, what they like and don't like and have an opportunity to get your questions answered. Next, we will make our way over to the barn which houses our fiber mill where you will see the process of how to make yarn from the fiber we collect after shearing the alpacas. We will wrap up our tour in our ranch store where you will have time to shop for items made from the luxuriously soft alpaca fiber, aka "the affordable cashmere". Plan on an hour or an hour and a half depending on the size of the group. All ages are welcome, children under 2 are free.
Other things to note
Wear comfortable walking shoes as there will be a short walk to get to the alpaca area from the driveway.

I look forward to sharing my passion for alpacas with you. I first fell in love with these beautiful animals in the year 2000 on a family vacation. We purchased 4 within the first week of seeing them for the first time and now have a herd of 36. We run a full service alpaca ranch, breeding and selling alpacas, offering champion stud services and shearing services to our clients. We also own and operate a fiber mill which we started in 2003 where we process the fiber from our own alpacas as well as the fiber from clients across the country with fiber animals. We feel blessed to do what we love for a living and be able to share our passion with others.

We came here with kids for a day visit and had a great time. Barbara goes above and beyond to make the experience memorable. A lot of hard work goes into it! We will be back.

Barbara was welcoming to my fiancé and I. She really tells you about the alpacas and the process of taking care of them. If you have any questions about them, she knows. It was such a fun experience. The alpacas are adorable and will eat right out of your hand. I would highly recommend.

Wonderful experience hanging out with and feeding a group of alpacas with different personalities. Barbara is very knowledgeable and her family’s story of coming into the business was interesting.

First time going to something like this, very informative and it was a totally pleasant experience! Host was able to answer a lot of questions and was very informative. You get to see the lamas and their fabric making process and some finished goods. Would definitely do again.

The tour of the alpaca farm and mill was amazing! The alpacas were super cute & it was an interactive experience. Barbara knew so much about alpacas, me and my friends learned a ton.

Barbara was a warm, welcoming and knowledgable host. The property is lovely, and the alpacas were just adorable (and so friendly!) She shared her wealth of knowledge, while we fed the baby alpacas before she walked through the mill processing. This is a perfect COVID-safe outdoor activity for families or solo travelers. The only thing that confused me was the last road on the way down had "Keep Out" signs posted everywhere, which made me think maybe I'd gotten the wrong address. (Turns out that's their neighbor's signage.) But once I got to the farm, everyone--even the dogs--were so welcoming!
