What you'll do

Admire architecture, gardens, punks, views, big trees, ducks, & history on this low-key walking tour primarily along scenic Regents Canal. We'll see Kings Cross, Camden, Regents Park, & Primrose Hill. Get a taste on instagram: @walking.gal_london We begin at Kings Cross, where you'll listen to me go on about the industrial and transport history of the area, as well as its new development. From there, we stroll north along Regent's Canal towards Camden Town, crossing the lock still in use today as we walk through Camden Market. We'll continue along the canal until we reach Primrose Hill, which offers one of the best views of London. I will point out buildings of interest for you to say "hm!" at, & snap a commemorative picture of you atop the summit. Afterwards, I'll take you back along the Canal to Regent's Park. If we're lucky, we'll catch complimentary glimpses of some animals in the London Zoo. Regent's Park is home to various gardens, sculpture, and long tree-lined Broad Walk. The Park is surrounded by plenty of transport connections to easily take you on your next adventure once we part ways. Kids welcome. It'll take about 3 hours over 4-5 miles with plenty of benches to people-watch & rest. Kids & explorers of all abilities welcome. Step-free route possible. Snacks & toilets en route.

Christine

I'm a transport & city planner researching for a PhD. I've lived in Camden for just over a year & know my neighbours, local businesses, and history of the area. My studies, social life, & work constantly grow my London knowledge, and I walk this low-key tour route several nights a week for my own enjoyment. My first week in this city, I was told anybody can become a Londoner. I love making people feel welcome, regardless if they're just here on holiday or a recent arrival for a more permanent move. I'd like to think I'm a bit of Londoner now, & it'd be my pleasure to show you a little slice of my city. Kids & explorers of all abilities welcome.
