Other things to note
I have taught this technique at numerous schools and events to all ages. You really don't need to plan anything, this is a very free and improvisational experience.

Meet your host, MaryJane

Host on Airbnb since 2016
  • Identity verified
MaryJane has been designing and creating handmade textiles for over 30 years. Her creations have been collected by a wide international audience including many notables. Garments have been shot by Cunningham for the New York Times and pillows were featured in Elle Decor, to name a few highlights. MaryJane was awarded the Turtledove Prize at the Philadelphia Museum Craft Show. Her work appears in several publications as well. After graduating from Bennington college in 1979 she developed her own block printing methods and since then her block printed (Fortuny style) silk velvets have been widley collected. Her interests are veering back towards printmaking and painting, yet fabrics are never far behind any expressions she creates. Teaching and mentoring young artists has become very important as well.
