We will seat on a local caffè for 20 minutes where an introductory timeline of Rome's history will be explaned, together with the main features of its art and architecture.

Then we will follow to the sites and pass through the Forum, Colosseum, Palatine Hill, Imperial Fora, Capitoline Hill, and finish at the Fields of Mars, where we'll stop in the main monuments and speak about art, architecture, history and archaeology.

From a hut village to the biggest and most magnificent city the world has seen for centuries, more than 2000 years of history left us the many testimonials we see today at the Forum, Palatine, Capitoline, Imperial Forums and Fields of Mars. After experiences in many parts of the world, I settled in Rome some years ago to attend a passion for the archaeology and history of ancient Rome. And do it as an archaeology master's student at Rome.
Explain Rome's history and archaeology to friends visiting Rome has always been a great pleasure to me. To talk about the monuments and museums in way they can understand how the city developed from a hut village to a huge empire, and then continued to figure as a relevant city throughout a long frame of our history.
I love speaking, explaining and showing it, since the pottery to the most famous monuments or archaeological sites, and these last years I participated in excavations in Rome and Italy.

Leonardo is truly an expert in all of the history, archaeology, language, & culture of Rome. This tour is a must! Here you can take your time & enjoy learning as Leonardo begins by providing a solid foundation upon which to build your knowledge of Ancient Rome. This tour is for anyone who has some knowledge or not much. Both work. If you are an academic like myself you will really appreciate this tour! Leonardo is a brilliant teacher and storyteller and he can answer all your questions ( I ask a lot of questions:-) ) Don’t miss this tour!

This tour with Leonardo was amazing! We first met at a coffee shop and he did a great job of laying out a timeline for us to help build a framework for us for what we were about to see. He was concise and used maps and other visual aids to help illustrate his talk. He was clearly very very knowledgeable on the topic of all things Roman history. He has a wealth of experience in multiple digs around the Rome, Italy, and the Mediterranean. He then pulls from this experience, to help describe the digs around the forum and why the ancient Romans did certain things in the ways they did. It was a fantastic tour. Highly recommended.

Leonardo is definitely an expert on archeology and Roman history! He is so passionate and knowledgeable that 3 hours are not enough:)Leonardo’s highlight is his wonderful design for this walk. He first gave us a whole picture of Roman history and then during the walk he picked some great viewpoints to show the forums. It’s not like the usual tour with interesting stories to attract tourists, but a historical walk to give you an insightful understanding for Roman history in archeology. For the history and art lovers, I totally recommend this terrific walk!
