What you'll do
Did you know that spending time around animals reduces stress and increases feelings of happiness? You can double that when they are rescued goats!
Come spend outdoor time in a small group with ample room for social distancing to meet some of the most affectionate goats there are. Visitors will get to meet and learn about each goat and breed as well as their rescue stories, behaviors and unique characteristics of the species. We are loaded with goat fun facts and corny goat puns to add a little laughter into our day!
You'll also become part of the herd when we proceed to hike through marked trails on our 9 acre property with the goats, who enjoy navigating the trails and foraging along the way. Watching the goats in a natural habitat and bonding with them is truly magical.
We end with extra quality time with all of the goats, who love lots of attention, allowing for plenty of hugs, scratches, and photo ops. Everyone leaves with a small goat fun fact booklet and sticker of their favorite goat.
This experience is fun for all ages - we have an equal amount of adults and children. If a date or time isn't available on our calendar, please ask! We have an open schedule and would love to accommodate you if we can!
*Please note that there is no public restroom on-site.
Other things to note
This experience is rain or shine. Bringing water bottles is recommended.
Please note that this is a private residence, and while we're happy to have guests use the bathroom, it would be helpful if guests could stop before arrival as bathroom breaks take away from group time with the goats.

We have cared for rescue goats for over 7 years. After our first goat wandered onto our property after being "set free" by a local camp, we constructed our current animal enclosure and have grown our "family" to seven very friendly (and spoiled) rescue goats. Each one comes with a different rescue story, from being seized from a "backyard butcher" to a defunct petting zoo operation, we will share each narrative with you during your visit. I am a supporter of, and have collaborated with, Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary, Catskill Animal Sanctuary and Farm Sanctuary in both receiving our rescued animals (we also have 19 rescued chickens!) and caring for them. We are excited to share their stories with you!

What a magical afternoon we had hanging out with the sweetest little goats ever! I learned so so much and left with such an appreciation for these lovely little creatures. Meagan was a great story teller and shared the adorable “love drama” unfolding. We were completely emerged in their habitat and they welcomed us onto their pasture and lead us on a beautiful walk within the woods. Who knew all I needed was a goat cuddle to heal my soul!!
Do yourself a favor and book an afternoon with these beauties!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit with Meagan’s goats! Meagan is extraordinarily passionate about goat rescue which my partner and I found very inspiring! The walk through the snow covered hills on the property was fun and informative. Have you ever seen a goat jump over a stream? You haven’t fully lived until you see this! ☺️ The goats are well loved and comfortable around strangers and they love taking selfies! Thank you Meagan!

Five stars for sure! Pros: cute goats with distinct personalities, lots of hands-on time with them (hugging, petting, brushing, hiking alongside, feeding them leafy branches), beautiful wooded area to walk through, hike was just the right length, Meagan is a super engaging and knowledgeable guide, price was fair, safety items like snow treads and hiking poles were provided, and bonus chickens! Cons: none! Highly recommend for animal lovers of all ages.

Could not recommend more! The goats were so cute and had their own unique personalities. The hosts were so kind and knowledgeable & clearly love these animals. Additionally, the experience felt safe as we were outside and everyone was wearing masks. If you have the opportunity, go hug some goats!

This was a fun experience getting to hang out with, brush, pet and go on a light walk with goats! Meagan is so passionate about the goats and it was really wonderful hearing about their stories and personalities.
The animals are super friendly and used to human interaction. You go on a very easy walk through the woods. Yak tracks are available for your shoes and youre offered a walking stick if you like. Meagan helps forage for fresh pine and dry leaves to feed the goats on the walk. There is a lot of quality time with the animals.
Definitely a great value and happy to support an animal sanctuary!
