What you'll do

I invite you to discover the principles and benefits of permaculture through its application in the gardens of Moulin de Pont Rû, on a half-day. After a little history of the Moulin project, I will propose a guided walk through the outdoor spaces. I will explain what permaculture is, its foundations, and how it is applied to the mill. I will present you the different gardening techniques implemented on site, their advantages and their limits: mandala gardens, cultures in tanks, in "lasagna", soil life, composting, mulching, association and rotation of cultures ... When this guided tour we will also discover some wild plants and their uses. We will gather together for our tasting. On the menu: a delicious wild salad, a pesto, a herbal tea of wild herbs! All accompanied by fresh homemade bread. You will leave with detailed knowledge and the fresh taste of garden products!

Attracted by permaculture, I left 2 and a half years in Australia and New Zealand to train and experiment an alternative way of life. It's by doing wwoofing that I learned the most! In March 2018, I took a two-month Permaculture Design Course (CCP), attesting to my expertise. I returned to France in August 2018 and I started to implement this know-how here..I am part of the permanent team of the place since March 2019, as responsible for the development of outdoor spaces. My passion for permaculture and agroecology inspired me a vocation of transmission: share with you my knowledge and my know-how to make you discover and experience a different way of life, closer to nature.

Where you'll be

The Moulin de Pont Rû dates from the 18th century. The main building is an old water mill and the river that surrounds it, the Aubette, gives it an air of oasis ... We will visit all outdoor spaces because each of them has something to teach us , and we will focus on areas grown in permaculture. We will enjoy the warmth of the house for our tasting.
