I'm Head Barista at the Pepper Pot Cafe, a charming bakery on the first floor balcony of the beautiful and historic Powerscourt Townhouse in Dublin's creative quarter. At the Pepper Pot, we are mainly known for our freshly baked breads and bagels along with the beautiful surroundings you can soak in while you eat. It's my job to ensure that our coffee meets these same high standards. I caught the coffee bug while working in Market Lane restaurant in Cork as a student. After moving back to Dublin I got a job in the Pepper Pot where I've spent the last three years honing my craft and improving our offering. My favourite part of my job is helping people understand more about the wonderful process that is brewing coffee.

The class takes place in Powerscourt Townhouse Centre - an elegant Georgian house that has been converted into a speciality shopping centre - centrally located just off Grafton Street. It's a beautiful place to spend a few hours, and we'll be there after it closes.

Ross was super knowledgeable and very passionate about coffee! He was excellent at explaining how to make a proper cup of coffee and provided detailed background on the importance of the grind and variances in milks. It was super cool to get to use commercial level espresso machines and grinder and we left with inspiration and information to up our own coffee game at home!
