What you'll do

Currently welcoming those traveling from Canada in accordance with public health guildlines. Our tour will take us through mossy forests and fern beds, across a suspension bridge, floating a hundred feet above Lynn Canyon with stunning views of waterfalls and alongside the river to hidden pools that offer the perfect place for a snack of Salmon and Cedar tea. (Note that the suspension bridge is cutrently closed due to covid, but our hike is still beautiful!)

We begin our journey on the world renown Baden Powell Trail, as we follow its winding path through a forest of towering trees Lynn Creek appears alongside us.

This trail will deliver us to the Suspension Bridge giving us the chance to gaze into the canyon below taking in the impressive waterfalls from a bird's eye view.

The east side of the creek sits above the canyon in a more mature forest and delivers us to Twin Falls a smaller double waterfall. After a short climb, we return to the Suspension Bridge on route to a river beach to brew a little Cedar tea and nibble on candied salmon.

Our journey is approximately 5km in length and includes short steep sections with well made wooden steps. The walk is a beautiful figure 8 loop helping us to capture the magic of the canyon while seeing new terrain throughout.

Sunset tours include an increased chance of wildlife sightings such as Bears or Owls. Headlamps are provided.
Other things to note
Please note that this is a non smoking tour. This is due to fire risk in the canyon.

Dogs are welcome on this tour! Leash required.

I have also become somewhat of an advocate for safety in the local community. So much so that Breakfast TV Vancouver interviewed me! http://www.btvancouver.ca/videos/the-top-3-hiking-mistakes/

My husband and I signed up to hike with Dan on our trip to Vancouver last week. Although it ended up being a private tour due to COVID-19, we had an amazing time anyway as we were led through the Lynn Canyon area on an engaging yet manageable hike. Dan was super patient and knowledgeable in answering all of the questions we had about the forest, the Vancouver area, and everything in between. Dan's passion for the outdoors was incredibly infectious and we found ourselves smiling the whole time, even though it rained through most of our hike. If anything, the rain made the hike more magical as it highlighted the smells and colours of the forest. His attention to detail was also appreciated, especially in the salmon and cedar tea snack on wooden serving plates. We would 100% recommend this experience to anyone. We felt comfortable and safe the whole time as the activity was outdoors and we could keep as much of a distance as we liked. Thank you so much Dan for such a memorable time!

What a great experience that was! Although it was quite the rainy, cold day I very much enjoyed the hike with Dan and two other guests. Dan had a lot of stories and facts to tell but also left a lot of space to just enjoy the nature. The salmon and tea were amazing, all the different greens in the forest even better. Absolutely recommend!

Thank you so much for a fantastic experience! We loved the hike, all of the views, the delicious tea and salmon, and insight of the area. We learned a lot from Dan, he had tons of fantastic recommendations and he shared a lot of great stories! I highly recommend Dan for tours, very knowledgeable and had so much insight, very passionate. Thank you very much, we can’t wait to return to Vancouver for more adventures!

Dan is a friendly, fun and overall great guide. I've learned quite a bit about our rain forests from this experience, as Dan is informative and knowledgeable about wildlife. Jumping into the freezing pool was quite the experience. We warmed ourselves later with cedar tea and tasty salmon treats to go with. 11/10 would recommend!

Dan's guided hike through this magical forest is 100% worth it. I definitely would not have learnt anything about the wildlife or area if I had gone at this alone. He points things out that you would easily miss! Dan guides you through the forest intentionally; his passion and love for nature is infectious and shines in the way he tells stories. Not to mention he is such a friendly guy. It was only me and him on this hike and you'll easily feel so comfortable around Dan. The salmon and tea by the water was such a special touch and if you're feeling brave to go into the water - definitely do it!

We got at the designated location and Dan was there all ready waiting for us. He was very informative and answered all of our questions. Dan added a personal touch by bringing tea and salmon served in wooden cups which was refreshing. It was an enchanting experience over all. He is very friendly and we felt more than comfortable with him, he shared great little stories. Me and my friends left more than satisfied with the hike. Its beautiful. Highly recommended.
