What you'll do

Table Mountain is also known as The Hoerikwaggo or "sea mountain", as named by the Khoi Khoi people. Let me take you to the top of this amazing 7th Wonder of Nature via one of the many varied routes available. From a gentle walk to a steep climb, I will, together with you, help to choose a tailor-made route just for you and your group.

You will encounter the breathtaking floral carpets of the various fynbos (indigenous) plants. Once on top, you will look down on Cape Town also known as "Camissa" which is an ancient Khoi word meaning place of sweet water. This water accumulates and trickles through Hoerikwaggo, the "sea mountain" and flowed into the City through a number of different streams.

Depending on where you are staying, we can arrange to start at Constantia Nek, the Lower Cable Station or Camps Bay side of Table Mountain and embark on our adventure.
Other things to note
We might have to re-schedule due to inclement weather.

I am a registered adventure guide offering tours on one of the oldest mountains in the world, now known as one of the new 7 Wonders of Nature. At the age of 13 years old I took my first group up this mountain and have not stopped. I love hiking and experiencing the great outdoors and have a passion to help others to experience everything the mountain has to offer. I am able to adapt my tours to meet your fitness level and will try to ensure that your experience is a memorable one.

For the adventurous at heart, I climbed a snow covered Jebel Toubkal in Morocco reaching a height of 4 126 meters in April 2017 and a misty and cold Mini Traverse of the Drakensberg Mountains.

We had a lot of Fun with Ian. He knows his surroundings very well. He is member of the alpine club and even carried a big first aid pack with him. We hiked table mountain over India Venster route with him and felt always safe. He walks slowly therefore we'd many time for exploration and explanation. Don't choose him if you want a speed hike to the top.
