What you'll do

My home is one mile from Lake Bryan, where I'll set you up with one or two kayaks, paddles, and life jackets for your adventure on this 829 acre lake. Never kayaked before? I can show you the basics so you can get started! Lake Bryan is on a migratory path for many types of birds, including the Great American Pelican, and is an all around pleasant paddle, weather permitting.
Other things to note
This experience will depend upon the weather cooperating. Wear clothing made of nylon or other synthetics. Do not wear heavy clothes of natural fabrics. Under Armour type clothing is the best. A hat or ear cover is always a good idea, as well as sun glasses. Water shoes and dry box are needed.

I'm a retired university administrator who has been lake kayaking for over 15 years. I've found peace and stress relief through kayaking, and have encountered many native and migrating birds. I would love to facilitate this experience for others, whether a seasoned kayaker or a beginner. I have also kayaked Texas waters of the Guadalupe & Colorado Rivers, Caddo Lake, the marshes at Matagorda Bay, and behind the jetties in Rockport.
