First, we will go in the farm jeep into the wild forest and hand pick the Medronho berries, up in the mountain hills with amazing views over the ocean and the vast Monchique Mountain. Mario will tell you the story of this amazing fruit, called Medronho, explain the techniques to pick the berries and guide you through the entire experience. After this introduction, we will start this "meditActive" experience of hand picking and tasting the berries in the mountain, surrounded by nothing but forest, birds and small wild animals. The picking will take 2 hours. After this tour we will come back down. Down in the base camp, we will have a break to try a super powerful Medronho Smoothie. After this, we will cook Medronho Jam and Mario will explain other ways to preserve and enjoy the berries. This will take around 1 hour. We will finish cooking and you will take the jam with you and half a kilo of fresh medronho berries. You can also buy the Medronho Liquor and other delicatessens made with this super fruit.
