If you are on the fence about this one, trust me when I say it's worth it! Our host, Ben, was super friendly and knew a ton about the area. It felt like walking around with an old friend. Oh, and the views and murals were all so gorgeous. Def left with a new appreciation for Staten Island!

Ben was knowledgeable and gave a great tour of the area of Staten Island. He talked about the recent economic growth in the area and the 9/11 memorial was beautiful and moving. He even added personal stories when appropriate and it added a unique personal touch that I wasn’t expecting! It was an excellent experience!!

Ben, a lifelong Staten Islander, eagerly presents this tour. His passion for where he grew up and his boundless knowledge are truly present in his walking tour presentation. His friendly demeanor makes you feel like you are walking around with a knowledgeable, old friend. I highly recommend this tour to get to know Staten Island and its’ culture better.

Amazing tour. Ben was easy to find at the terminal and was super friendly and knowledgeable. He really knows the area and showed us some interesting spots to eat and a cool comic book shop. Learning about the 9/11 memorial and the first responders was really touching. Overall an excellent experience.

I'm so happy I took this tour! I got off the ferry and found Ben easily in the terminal. My biggest concern was safety going into this, and I was thankful that Ben and everyone on the tour had masks and we were outside for the duration of the tour. The tour itself was really fascinating. From nearly every part of our walk, we had incredible views of Manhattan, which was great for photos. I learned a ton about not only the landmarks near the ferry, but also Staten Island as a whole. Ben is born and raised there, so he shared a first hand experience, plus was very knowledgeable on the history, too. My favorite part was the 9/11 Postcards memorial. It was breathtaking and moving, and to hear Ben's personal story alongside it was very touching. It felt like I had insight to a very "NYC-insider experience". The tour was small, only 4 of us, plus Ben, and everyone was friendly, even though we were socially distanced and in masks. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to learn more about a place that's often overlooked. It wasn't too long, and there was plenty of rec's for things to do post-tour. Grab lunch, go shopping, or keep sightseeing.

This was a great experience for me. I've lived in NYC my entire life but I decided to take this tour since i know so little about Staten Island and it was something to do. I've been to Staten Island before but this experience made it feel like a completely different place overall! Love that Ben was a SI Native. Worth the visit!
