What you'll do

Barcelona's Gothic Quarter is at its most beautiful and authentic by sunset and by night; there are less tourist
crowds and it is incredibly atmospheric, it really is like stepping into a time machine and going
backwards to the middle ages!

We will see a legendary fountain, explore an ancient Roman cemetery and pass under the
Roman city walls. We'll visit King's Square, sight of the infamous Spanish inquisition. We will
wander the romantic narrow streets of the Jewish Quarter and follow a trail of destruction from
the Spanish Civil War. We will visit Royal Square, the city's most beautiful plaza. We'll discover
saints and martyrs, kings and queens, medieval gargoyles.

As well as history we will discover
legends about knights and princesses and dragons. The ancient connects to the modern so
you'll understand the current political situation in Catalunya. By the end of this tour you will fully
understand how the city has developed over 2,000 years into the global phenomenon it is today.

Along the way we will stop to get a delicious hot chocolate in a traditional and local churros café (winter season) or for an irresistible ice cream (summer season)!
Want to touch upon wanderlust, the magical cocktail of beauty, romance, exploration and
adventure that travel is all about? This is the tour you've been waiting for!

Amazing experience and would recommend to anyone who’s looking to learn some history and looking to find out more about what they’re walking through. I see Barcelona in a much different light and it’s all thanks to Paolo! He’s a really good guide and made us feel like a friend was showing us around town. Thanks!

Paulo was funny, smart and easy to engage. I found him to be a natural talent for sufficiently explaining the often tense history of the region.

Paulo is a great storyteller. We loved the night tour with him. He helped us see Barcelona through a different prism and it surely will stay with us forever. This tour is a must if you are in the city :)

I had a morning tour with Paulo visiting sites around Born. He is a charismatic storyteller and has a great sense of humor. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to try the evening tour around Gothic area. It was a part 2 of other side of gothic stories starting pre-dates birth of Christ to recent years of referendum. It was my first full day at Barcelona and I am so glad to have taken his tours to get the lay of the land. I highly recommend anyone to take both of his tours...you'll be amazed and meet some interesting people in amazing places. You won't regret it. It is the best money well spent.
