What you'll do

We want your experience to be unique and different. The most important thing for us is that you feel as if you were at home, enjoying a family day. A family day in Lima is always accompanied by delicious cocktails or good beers, tasty potajes to share with the family and, of course, a good conversation to entertain the afternoon. In this experience we want to teach you how to prepare two of the dishes that we like the most and that are made with seafood. As a starter you will try some delicious Parmesan shells and as a main course you will taste a sweat of fish with Northern-style seafood. To do this, we will start by showing you what ingredients are needed to prepare them and we will tell you some tips and variants that we have learned over time. Then we will cook with you the chosen dishes so that you know exactly the steps to follow and you can replicate them. During the preparation, we will pause to prepare one of our flag cocktails: pisco sour. You will know a little about the history of pisco and its different varieties. Then we will share together the dishes we have prepared. To accompany lunch you will learn to prepare some pisco-based chilcanos. Finally, to close the afternoon, we will share a delicious Lima dessert accompanied by a good cup of Peruvian coffee.

Learn more about Giannina

Giannina

My name is Giannina and with my husband Carlos, we have found the pleasure of cooking together, different dishes, and inviting our friends and family the dishes we are learning. I am Lima and all my life I have loved to eat well and learn to prepare the dishes that I like the most. As a girl I liked to sit next to my grandfather and see how he cooked and mixed the ingredients to make his own innovations and versions of the dishes. That's why now, we want to share with you our passion for food and through it, teach you a little about our beloved Peru: its customs, typical dishes and a bit of its history. Dare to spend an afternoon with us, enjoy a good conversation, cook and taste some delicious dishes and if you like pets in the end you can play with Matilda, our English bulldog.
