What you'll do

We will get out of the city and hike into the heart of the Blue Mountains. Reconnecting to nature, we'll explore epic waterfalls, massive rock overhangs and breathe in the crisp mountain air on this World Heritage listed National Park walk. With me, or one of our awesome volunteer guides, we'll hike 13km in total together. We'll learn about the amazing history and geology of the Blue Mountains, and stop for lunch at one of the awe-inspiring natural waterfalls. There is even the chance to take a dip in the waterfall if you bring your swimmers. Don't worry about keeping up with the pace. There will be plenty of time to soak it all in and share the good vibes of this walk for a good cause.

This hike is scheduled for most Sundays and Wednesdays. For Saturday dates please visit our Hike up the Three Sisters at https://www.airbnb.com.au/experiences/6401
Other things to note
In 2019/2020 the Blue Mountains experienced major bushfires. Fortunately this hike has not been affected, so come join us and be part of the recovery.

Where you'll be

For this experience, we'll meet at Central Station in Sydney and then journey by the scenic local train to the Blue Mountains (approximately 2 hours). We will then hike for 4-6 hours, starting with the historic path that Charles Darwin famously visited in 1836. Arriving at Wentworth Falls, we will then descend the tallest outdoor staircase in Australia into the valley of the mountains, before heading back up to catch the train back to Sydney.

Mark was our guide & he was super amazing. Such a nice person who is an expert in blue mountains. By the end, he felt like a friend. Now for the place - blue mountains are breathtaking. Far better than I expected. I would recommend everyone to visit blue mountains and go with emu trekkers. Super positive experience. Couldn’t have asked for anything better.

FANTASTIC! Myself and my best friend booked on this experience and it was everything and more. Mark was utterly brilliant with his stories and true friendship. We laughed all day and saw some incredible sights. The fact that the profit went to charity was so special to us both. Thank you Emu Trekkers, we are honoured to now be part of the family! And will actively seek your company out in the future. Take care, Jess & Vicky :)

Made a last minute booking of this experience, and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. Our guides Mark and Peter were fantastic with their knowledge of the land, personal stories, and sense of humor. The Blue Mountains are absolutely breathtaking and I can't think of a better way to explore it with new friends and for charity!

The hike through the Blue Mountains was truly magical. The landscape speaks for itself. We had a beautifully clear sunny day and were able to enjoy everything the tour had to offer. This included swimming in a waterfall, taking advantage of premier photo opportunities, learning about the environment, and hearing about some indigenous folklore and stories. Our guides Peter and Mark were fantastic. They made everything very easy from start to finish. We were given clear instructions on where to meet in the morning, they facilitated our train ride to and from the mountains, they made an effort to get to know each of their guests while on the train, they led the way safely through the trails, and got us home safely and on time. Emu trekkers overall left a wonderful impression on us with their professionalism and their charitable nature. Would book again and would highly recommend.
