What you'll do

Whether you have a project in mind or want to try something unusual, this workshop is a great way to learn the basics of stained glass from a master craftsperson. Not only will you leave with your own A4-A3 sized real stained glass window, you'll also gain the skills to keep making stained glass at home.

We'll start with some of the history of stained glass before covering many new techniques including designing for stained glass, how to safely cut glass sheets and how to use lead and solder a panel. You'll be able to choose from a huge range of amazing glass colours and textures for your own panel, and all materials are included.

Each class is deliberately quite small and intimate so that everyone can benefit from bespoke teaching in a real artist's studio. This will be the case whether you want to make a traditional panel or something more experimental. And of course, the classes are informal and fun!
Tea, coffee and snacks are provided throughout the day.

More tips

Tea, coffee and treats are provided throughout the day but please bring a packed lunch (the studio is also near to a Pret etc) and we'll take about 30 minutes for lunch part way through the day. Please wear something which you don't mind getting a little art-messy and don't wear open toe shoes.
