What you'll do

Our guests will be welcomed by me and my wife Sara at the paddock where the animals graze waiting for the departure for the trek. For us it is a priority that guests are educated to respect the animal, then we will explain to them the distinctive, food and behavioral characteristics of alpacas and llamas and we will show them how to approach and lead them during the trek. One of the characteristics of these animals is docility and slow walking, which make the walk relaxing in their company. The animals will not be ridden but led by hand with the lead. Before departure we will gather them and assign one to each guest, and for each we will describe their character peculiarities, because each animal is different from the others. We will walk in single file and along the way we will always be available to answer questions and curiosities or to help those who need them. About half way down we will take a short break to rest animals and guests. Upon returning, guests will have the opportunity to give their adventure companions a small prize in food, supplied by us, to visit the breeding with the females and cria (puppies) who do not participate in the trekking, and to view the wool products .
Other things to note
Guests will come into direct contact with the animals so that, if they are not afraid of them, they will enjoy a unique experience.

I am Massimiliano and, thanks to my wife Sara who is a veterinarian and has been dealing with it for about 10 years by profession, I have known alpacas and lamas. We immediately fell in love with it and realized that it would become part of our life and the growth of our daughters. Five years ago the first 3 alpacas entered the family and today we take care of 9 alpacas and 4 wooly-llamas. The breeding is entirely managed by us; in addition to ensuring their well-being, we carry out the shearing, and with their precious wool we create unique clothing items by hand. For two years we have also started a cultivation of saffron, using only their precious fertilizer. We live on the slopes of the Alps, in a valley full of ancient traditions and in unspoiled nature, waiting to be discovered.

Diverse animals

Where you'll be

We will cross the narrow streets of the town to then go into the chestnut and birch forest. We will cross a small wooden bridge and after a difference in altitude of 200 m we will reach the Colletto del Partor, from which you can admire a splendid panorama of the Morainic Amphitheater of Ivrea, a gift from the last ice age, and of the Alps. After a short descent along a path we will find the dirt road that will take us back to the starting point.

Ottima esperienza, decisamente consigliata.

Grazie, consiglieremo sicuramente l’esperienza!
