What you'll do

This is a Ancient Earth- Oven Food (called Pachamanca)Tasting and Scenic trip to which I want to take you it is a unique experience which is a must-try while being in the peruvian Andes it is also a non-well-promoted Ancient Traditional Food, as a result a few foreign people know it only and takes around 6 hrs.
We begin picking you up either at your hotel or Airbnb stay and driving northwards until the countryside village beside the Huaypo Lagoon. Once there, we meet the local host family and get ready to know all the stuffs and items that are used while making this traditional Food, then during the food is on process we walk around by visiting the lagoon and passing the farmlands, thus we learn more about local people daily activities, what they do, their lifestyle, etc.
We see how this food process is and what makes it so deliciuos/special, besides that, we are close to the lagoon where being there is just wonderful and relaxing.
After tasting food and appreciating the scenic views fo the area we head back to Cusco City.
Then, let's go for it!

Hi, I am Roger a very kind and happy man. I was born and raised in a countryside village and studied Tour Guide in Cusco.
I speak Quechua (as mother tongue), Spanish and English, and have been working as a Tour Guide for about three years (more than two in walking/hiking tours). I know very well the mountains and paths around Cusco as I grew up there.
I want to take you to this unique experience which is a must-try while being in the Andes/Sierra it is also a non-well-promoted Ancient Food, as a result a few foreign people know it only.

What I do is more than just a job, is a passion that I love sharing!

Where you'll be

We will be in a countryside village knowing how the Pachamanca Food is prepared and tasting it. In addition to that, we will be close to a beautiful lagoon called Huaypo which is a kind of picnic on the right place as it is not a city food but a field one.
Then, let's go for it!
The proper time is from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM (about 6 hrs).

Me and my friend went to this experiencie it was really worth it as we got to learn how the people make this ancient food on top of that we tasted it. Roger was genius making feel us comfortable being happy and proud of being born there. We met his parents and saw the daily life closer. He told us that this is much better to make it in the dry season as it is an earth - using - oven dish but it was a great food making & tasting experience with a nice view of the Lake. Thanks for this unique experience.
