What you'll do

We will start with a short intro to alpacas, where they come from, the do's and don'ts in handling, and about their care and fiber. We will visit the males and then the females and babies. Our guests will be able to touch the animals and feel why they are considered the next cashmere. They will also be able to feed them some grain and take as many pictures with and of the animals as they desire. We also have guardian dogs that guests will meet and learn why we have these beautiful animals. Our dogs are socialized and not mean, but they have a job to do to protect our animals from predators and they know what they are there for. After the animal experience, we will move on to the fiber produced from these beautiful creatures. Guests will be able to handle raw fiber, learn the difference between good and bad and about the shearing process and how it is made into yarn, etc. They will also be able to purchase, if they desire, any products that we have in our store. we will have refreshments with time to ask questions or just visit. We enjoy people and talking about our passion and look forward to meeting each of our guests.
Other things to note: This is a farm, dress appropriately for the weather.

I am the president of IMpaca, a Utah Organization for alpaca farms. We are members of AOA (Alpaca Owner's Association) and we are very passionate about alpacas. I have raised animals my entire life but for the last 6 years my husband (Royce) and I have been learning about, raising, and loving these enchanting creatures. There are many myths and misunderstandings about alpacas and our goal is to teach other alpaca owners and anyone else who is interested how to properly raise and care for alpacas. We want others to enjoy the soothing aura that alpacas have. We want to be able to give a hands on experience for those that cannot or don't want to raise them but want to enjoy being with them, and to learn about them and their care. They have beautiful fiber and for those that want to, we can provide fiber and fiber product ideas.

A must do! Julee and her husband share their knowledge/passion with you on this amazing experience. A gorgeous view of the mountains makes for the most picturesque photos with the cutest alpacas!

Royce and Julee are the absolute sweetest. So down to earth and kind and answered our million questions. We loved learning about the process of using alpaca wool and of course loved going out and meeting the alpacas. I was definitely enamored with them and their cute faces! We’re excited to bring our children out to their property again when they host a big event! Be sure to check out their website for more information!

Wonderful experience. Julee was so friendly and funny. The Alpacas were entertaining and fun to meet. Great to be able to get up close and even feed them grain. The dogs are cute and liked being petted. Definitely recommend this experience.
