Learn more about Anjanette

Anjanette

I am the owner and creater of Na Pua Designs- my crafting business dedicated to creating art inspired by the things I love. My inspiration comes from dancing hula in Halau O Keikiali'i for more than 20 years and performing all over the world. My hula teacher is dedicated to traditional hawaiian dance, language and cultural traditions. I am also born and raised in San Francisco and strive to share my love of my city with others. These 2 elements inspire my art forms, which range from making traditional hawaiian lei, to block printing using linocutting techniques to create beautiful designs on clothing and accessories. I participated in cultural workshops in my hula group around the world, and love the thought of sharing traditional cultural practices that have been taught to me with others .
