About your host

I'm the Founder of Unnata Aerial Yoga, a method of Yoga that integrates use of a low-hanging fabric trapeze integrated into a traditional mat-Yoga class. Unnata was the first "aerial yoga" class offered in New York City, and I've been teaching classes continuously since January, 2006. What we’ll do

Unnata Aerial Yoga got its start in artist's studios and lofts in Brooklyn before finding homes in Yoga studios. Those first classes were small and everyone (teacher and students, alike) felt like they were explorers, inventors and creators at the forefront of a movement. I'll invite you into my own small home-studio, where I can teach you the Unnata method of Aerial Yoga while re-creating for…

What else you should know

The studio is on the 3rd floor of a walk-up building. There is no elevator. Because this is designated as a fitness activity, you will be expected to sign a release waiver in order to attend class. I can send you a copy of the waiver ahead of time, if you like.

What I’ll provide

Tea
I have a large assortment of herbal tea for after class. And of course, there's always water, if you prefer. My husband even makes his own seltzer!
Sports equipment
I can provide a Yoga mat for you, if you do not have your own. I will also provide any other Yoga props the class calls for, in addition to the aerial yoga hammock.

What to bring

You'll need to wear comfortable clothing that moves with you when you bend and stretch. Your clothing should cover the backs of your knees, your midriff, lower back, and armpits. Keep in mind clothing may shift when you are upside-down and squeezed at the

Where you'll be

You'll meet me at my home studio, which is located in the Clinton Hill area of Brooklyn. It is an apartment building, not a store front! We've created a studio room inside the apartment where I can teach Unnata Aerial Yoga.
