What you'll do

I am a qualified and experienced mountain and nature guide. I will assist on the route, and lead you to the lower plateau of the mountain to ensure you get the best experience and knowledge of South Africa’s history, nature, and culture.
You will see Cape Town from a different perspective and learn about our unique biome, the Fynbos. The route starts from Camps Bay, gradually along a jeep track, known as the old Pipe Track and it goes up through Kasteelspoort. It is +/- 1.5 hours walking up a beautiful ravine, with the sound of water flowing on the background and stunning views of Lion's Head and the Atlantic seaboard. The ascent becomes steeper until we reach the lower plateau of the mountain, where the old cable car ruins are with great photo opportunity from the famous ‘Diving Board Rock’.
We will explore the amphitheater, where the Valley of the Red Gods is—closed in on all sides, it is a green gem on the mountain. Afterwards, we will approach Echo Valley, where we will have a picnic, facing the spectacular Silvermine and Hout Bay in the distance.
If the cable car is closed and unable to reach Table Mountain upper plateau, we will descend through Corridor Ravine, a small indigenous forest on the Twelve Apostles. We will be surrounded by trees, Fynbos and its endemic birds along the path, with beautiful views of Cape Point and Hout Bay in the distance.
Other things to note
Please wear layers of clothes, comfortable footwear, and bring a raincoat. Bring at least half a gallon of water, sunscreen, daypack, camera, and a hat.

Melania created a special experience with a spectacular hike route. She is very knowledgeable of the trails and details of smallest and richest Floral Kingdom in the world. She took care to previously scout our route for safety as it had rained in previous days. That was a very demonstrable gesture of her professionalism and dedication. I greatly recommend Melania to all.
