What you'll do
The hike begins with an introduction, a briefing about security and mountain hazards.
For the first section of the hike you will be heading to the forest of the mountain. As from there you will enjoy a nice relaxing walk for 600 m in the midst of indigenous plants and trees. The hike continues to a section where a second trail (originates from Tranquebar in Port Louis) meets with the one from Moka.
After 700 m, you will reach the shoulder part of the mountain, with an altitude of 736 m. At this point you will be provided with delicious snacks and you will have enough time to rest and take plenty of memorable photographs.
The hike afterwards continues to the peak. The last part towards the summit requires some rock scrambling which can be tackled by both beginner and expert hikers.
You will be under the supervision of an expert mountaineer to make your way back to the meeting point, ensuring your security all along the way. Once you are back at the meeting point, you may proceed in moving to your apartment
Other things to note:
A document containing all our rules, health and safety guidelines will be sent to the participants once a booking is made.
