Mary

I'm the self-appointed Minister of Injera. I was named after Mamma Desta, who opened the first Habesha (Eritrean/Ethiopian) restaurant in the States. Although I grew up all over the world, my Dad always managed to track down our traditional food. I first took a crash course in how to make everything before I moved to Brazil, since I was freaking out about going a year without it. I've since built on that experience in the kitchens of Lemelem Eritrean Kitchen (London) and Kokob Ethiopian Restaurant (Brussels). There is nothing I prefer eating and I would be happy to show you how!

Where you'll be

The space is a high-ceilinged, wooden floored living room full of books and colours and art, attached to a little kitchen where the magic happens!
