Hi, I am Elena! I love everything related to arts: music, exhibitions, dance, photography, theater, and movies. I like to spend time with friends, I love to chat and learn.

I'm a singing teacher, I sing and play in a band, and I'm a designer. Both of my parents are theater actors so I grew up surrounded by art people. I consider myself fortunate for having watched the work of very talented artists.

We're a team of enthusiastic locals hosting unforgettable experiences in Madrid. Our passion for connecting travelers with the heartbeat of Madrid and with each other has made us the experienced local guides we're now.

Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or in a group, this flamenco experience great opportunity to meet people from different parts of the world. Let’s connect over our love for local culture & food!

We did this experience with Elena, the local musician who designed it. You can feel right away that she really loves flamenco: she's passionate about the dance, the music and the culture around it. It was easy to find the meeting point, very close to Anton Martin subway station, and not far away from the Reina Sofia museum of modern art. This is the kind of neighborhood that you won't know anything about if you don't have a local to take you around while telling you stories and anecdotes. We started the experience with a flamenco dance lesson: we tried flamenco shoes (they're not always available as we were already warned), but in case you get lucky, don't forget to bring a pair of socks so you'll be comfortable... is like going bowling! The dance lesson teacher is a grown up woman, an expert who has been awarded twice as the best dancer in the city, so you can only imagine how great she was. She doesn't speak english but there's little need as she really express herself through her shoes! Also, Elena was there all along to translate or solve any question we might have. I loved the fact that the lesson was not dedicated exclusively to us but that we got to be part of a regular flamenco dance lesson... so after enjoying 30min of dance, we were able to sit down and enjoy the way advanced students dance. So it was both a lesson and a short show ;) A great guitar player was at the lesson so it's also very impressive to feel and see how music and dance create this energy. We also learned the basics of flamenco's rhythm through a castanet introductory lesson. Elena is a musician and a music teacher so she's really great handling a group of people. We had so much fun while learned how there're so much to learn on this apparently simple instrument! I assure you'll fell in love with it. And if you want to keep practicing, you can buy the ones you've been using during the lesson so you can take them home with you! To finish, we all enjoyed a drink at the market, taking about the experience, laughing and exchanging photographs. I absolutely recommend this experience. You'll live flamenco in a very unique way, and feel like you understand it better thanks to the lessons proposed by Elena. She also does the main museums and a historical tour in Madrid, so don't forget to ask her about everything the city has to offer. Enjoy like we did!
