What you'll do

This is a private & relaxing wine tour of 5 wineries, perfect for small groups of family & friends. The calendar is flexible so please message me if your preferred date is not listed. Here in stunning Central Otago wine country you'll discover a wide range of wines including Pinot Noir, Rosé, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Gewurztraminer. I will pick you up at your accommodation in the Queenstown area at 11.40 am. Travelling in a premium SUV we head up the Kawarau Gorge towards the Gibbston where our first wine tasting takes place at one of the most awe inspiring vineyard settings in the winemaking world. We then head to the historic town of Cromwell which has orchards and wineries set amongst the historic remnants of the 1860s gold rush era. Here you will visit three wineries and taste distinctive wines in dramatic terrain that differs markedly from where we started our day. At one of the wineries a platter lunch can be booked (for approx. $20 per head) in advance on your behalf with expenses payable by you directly to the cellar door. We then return and stop at a winery near Lake Hayes for our final tasting. At the end of the day you will have discovered some boutique vineyards and learned more about the diversity of wines here. You will then be dropped off at your accommodation. I am also a photographer and will take photos for you free of charge.

I lived in the UK and Australia and left the corporate world to live in one of the most beautiful places on the globe. I first came to this area over 20 years ago and have been visiting the wineries here for almost 10 years. Now that I live in this region I have the opportunity to share with others my interests in wine, the outdoors and photography. I discovered the nuanced charm of Otago pinot noir 10 years ago and have met a number of amazing people who were drawn to practice winemaking in this magical place. This wine tour and tasting experience allows me to combine all three of my passions and create a unique and memorable day out for you. I am also a fully licensed and insured transport operator and passenger service driver.
