What you'll do

Along the way we recount historic events of the Holocaust, point out interesting stories and facts about the communist dictatorship. You will see Budapest's most famous landmarks, such as the Great Synagogue, the Parliament building, the former Jewish quarter, the fascinating UNESCO protected World Heritage site of the city center with an amazing view to Buda Castle and the Andrássy avenue. On this trip we will shed light on facts that many would just walk over: Did the ghetto of Budapest serve as a place of execution or a shelter? How did a couple of people save thousands of Jews during the war? Who was the franciscan father by whom the bloodiest crimes were committed? How did the communists party commit election fraud and got into power? Where is the secret atomic bunker that was unknown by Hungarians till 1994 ? How did Budapest celebrate the 70th birthday of Stalin ?
