What you'll do

Starting in Reykjavik, we´ll go on an 8-hour adventure through stunning countryside, past old churches, and horse farms to some of Iceland´s most incredible locations. Though many have traveled the famed Golden Circle, few take advantage of all the breathtaking sights found along the route.
★ BASE TOUR ★
✔ During our journey, we´ll visit Kerid Lake, set inside a 3,000year-old caldera, where expansive views and striking blue water make for incredible photo opportunities.

✔ Next up, we´ll visit Fridheimar Greenhouse, where you´ll see the latest in the country´s horticultural engineering and enjoy some unique treats grown right on the property.

✔ After that, we´ll visit Geysir, where the land has been shaped for thousands of years by the oldest recorded geyser in the world, and several smaller geysers blast off every few minutes.

✔ More water awaits us at Gullfoss, a gorgeous waterfall on the Hvita river, where 140 cubic meters of water roar over the falls every second.

✔ To cap it off, we´ll stop by beautiful and historic Thingvellir, the site of the Icelandic parliament from 930 -1798 AD. Here, you´ll see the continental drift, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet.
★ TOUR EXTENSION ★
For an additional $55 we can provide a transfer for a 2 hour stop at Blue Lagoon, Secret Lagoon, or Fontana Lakefront Spa. Prior reservations are required.

I loved getting a taste of the Iceland countryside. The trip led you to a crater lake, the original geyser and 2 waterfalls. Our guide gave us flexibility in our times for each site. I felt we had time to experience each place at our own pace. Although, at the geyser site you may to make a choice as to whether you can climb to the overlook area or stay at the geyser. We had an hour for lunch and to do both of these things, I only had time for lunch and the geyser. It probably would’ve taken me 40 minutes to hike to the top, leaving no time for lunch or the geyser. I don’t regret my choice. Our guide was very knowledgeable and filled any dead air in car with Icelandic history, geography and geology lessons as well as sharing his experiences of traveling around Iceland. He was also good at letting us have quiet moments to take in the scenery. Thanks Bogi!

If you can only go on one excursion, go on this one. Excellent value for money and just a brilliant tore. Small personnel. There was only my partner and me. Even if there were four people, it would have still had that personnel touch. The host was really knowledgeable and friendly. My partner and I were given space to explore independently, within a time frame. Lots of places to get presents and lunch. Also great to use a local green business.
