What you'll do

As everybody knows, Rome is rich of art, history, culture etc… But it is also a city with a good climate, very good food, and of course a city to discover by bicycle. But not the usual touristic routes. There are many unusual views of the eternal city you could discover riding a bike. Hills to climb, atypical neighborhood, consular roads that bring you to the roman countryside, till the the lake of Castel Gandolfo (the summer residence of the Pope) and other lovely towns that surround Rome.
Our departure point (and arrival point too) is situated in via Labicana (not far from the Colosseum), at Top Bike Rentalshop, where you can rent a bicycle according to your taste. Most of the people visiting the Eternal City only explore the streets in the historical centre, in big groups of 15/20 people, on heavy bikes and at a very slow pace. This tour is perfect for small groups, 3/4 people tops, and it will allow you to sweat on the most beautiful hills of the Capital, climbing up some of the most famous Roman hills like Aventino and Palatino, visiting Testaccio and its market for a snack, climbing up to Villa Borghese and going down on Via Veneto, to climb up again to the terrazza del Pincio. After that, we will climb up to Gianicolo, going around the Vatican's walls, and reach Trastevere for a well-deserved ice cream before going back to base.

My name is Nima and I'm an enthusiastic cyclist. I'm a member of RCC (Rapha Cycling Club), in the last few years I participated in various Gran Fondo rides like L'Eroica, the Tour of Flanders, Granfondo Campagnolo etc, collecting experience and stacking up kilometres. In this experience, I would love to offer an alternative tour through the most beautiful hills that Rome, which is famous for its seven hills, has to offer.
