The World Wars had a very deep and lasting impact, and this impact can be felt and seen today. During my more than 40 years in London, I have learned and studied how Londoners survived The Blitz during World War Two. I have spoken to many people who lived through this ordeal and they have told me their experiences, which I would like to pass on to you. I’ve been doing walks and tours in London for the past 10 years with friends and family. I now want to share my experience and knowledge with anyone wanting to enjoy this fantastic city.
Where you'll be
We'll start at the Monument memorial and walk to London Bridge, where we can photograph the HMS Belfast light cruiser. We'll make our way towards Borough, past Southwark Cathedral and walk to the main courtyard at Guy's Hospital. We’ll see plaques and memorials as we walk via Southwark Bridge Road and Great Suffolk Street. Along Blackfriars Road, we'll visit the memorial at Christ Church. Each stop will have a story to tell and photos to take.

This was a fabulous insight into the effect on London of the Blitz but also lots of anecdotal chat around wider London history. It was excellent value and Manuel is a charming and knowledgable host. We left with a real desire to dig deeper into some of the places and stories he introduced us too. Highly recommended.
