What you'll do
- First, I’ll share my journey on how I went from the world of sports to Silicon Valley to storytelling as a children's book author.
- Next, I’ll perform two storytime readings, cover-to-cover, of my award-winning picture books Sunny Days and Real Jungle Tales.
- After the reading, we'll explore some of the creative elements involved in bringing this book to life (world-building, color theme, character journey, mood arc, etc.) and share ways children's picture books go from idea to a finished book.
- Lastly, we’ll have an open discussion where kids and adults can ask questions about creating children's books, the stories we read, or advice about how to move forward with their awesome story idea(s).
